Packaging Design

Packaging with Purpose

This project focused on developing packaging systems for agricultural and produce products with an emphasis on sustainability, efficiency, and shelf presence. From produce boxes to plastic containers and flexible packaging, the goal was to create designs that felt exciting and recognizable while supporting more responsible packaging methods across multiple product types.

The Challenge

The packaging needed to balance strong visual branding with the technical limitations and requirements of large-scale production. Corrugated produce boxes were designed around an initiatve to reduce the use of wax used in the supply chain, while molded container graphics needed to integrate directly into the injection molding process without sacrificing clarity or brand recognition. Across every format, the system needed to remain practical for shipping, storage, and retail visibility.

My Approach

The visual direction focused on an efficient use of color to maximize impact with minimal production complexity. Concepts were designed to reproduce cleanly across tubs, bags, and adhesive labels while maintaining a cohesive visual language between products. Particular attention was given to how graphics interacted with material surfaces, printing limitations, and manufacturing processes to ensure the packaging felt intentional rather than overdesigned.

Key Concepts

The packaging systems were designed to support sustainable production methods while maintaining strong visibility across agricultural and retail environments.

  • Single-ink corrugated packaging reduces production complexity and material waste.
  • Bold color coding helps distinguish and highlight individual product categories across the packaging system.
  • Injection-molded container graphics integrate directly into the manufacturing process for durability and efficiency.
